Over 70s World Cup

England seniors cricket will play host to the inaugural 70s World Cup in a two week tournament starting on July 28th this summer with the final to be held at Wormsley on Sunday 11th August starting at 11.30 am.

Other round robin matches, which commence at 12.00 noon, will be played at senior club grounds within an hour or so drive of Slough where most of the participating countries will be based. Bucks grounds included to date are Marlow, Beaconsfield, Amersham, and Farnham Royal.

Seven countries will be participating in what are 45 overs a side matches they are, England, current holders of the Silver Ashes, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Wales.

Everything gets underway with a launch and registration event on the 27th July to be held at Eton Rowing Lake, previously home to the 2012 Olympic rowing events.
