Bucks Cricket CIO is delighted to welcome Anuj Sharma and Laura Hall to its Board of Trustees.
Anuj joined the Trustees at its last meeting in November, while Laura joined at the start of the year.
Anuj is Global Technical Programme Lead for Santander Digital Services and explained his motivation for joining the Trustees:
“I’m passionate about grassroots cricket and the positive impact it has on young people and local communities. As a Buckinghamshire resident and a parent actively involved in local cricket, I have seen real opportunities to grow participation, particularly in Milton Keynes, and I would like to help make that happen.
Becoming a trustee is a meaningful way for me to give back to a sport that has given me so much, while using my experience in strategy, digital, and community engagement to support the CIO’s development. I’m especially keen to contribute to the MK and Marketing/Events working groups to help raise awareness, increase involvement, and strengthen future funding.”
Laura is Head of Psychology, Teacher of PE and Director of Cricket at Dr. Challoner’s High School, and has joined the Trustees to enhance our expertise and focus on Women and Girls cricket development:
“I believe there are boundless avenues to continue the hard work of Bucks Cricket to grow the women and girls’ game and feel I can impact and innovate within these areas as a trustee. A crucial element to progression is fostering collaborative relationships between schools and clubs to provide a pathway for girls to encourage a lifelong love of cricket. I believe that upskilling teachers of girls PE and our young players in coaching, umpiring and organisation can have a huge impact on the growth of the game.”
They join Ian Hodgson (Chairman), Rich Hudson (CEO), Stuart Beck (FD), Martin Watts, Graham Rance, Yolanda Harris, Mike Sutliff, Raj Brar, Breffni Walsh and Jessica Chu on the Board of Trustees for Bucks Cricket CIO.
