First Aid Requirements

Bucks Cricket’s First Aid courses are delivered by MediTraining 

They have designed this course as a bespoke cricket first aid input. It covers situations that are likely to be encountered within the cricket arena and equips delegates with the information to enable management of events ranging from CPR and defibrillation together with allergic reactions. It also covers a range of the most common sporting injuries. MediTraining provide the latest updates on these and the latest ECB protocols around the game.

FIRST AID INFORMATION

It is recommended that all coaches actively working in clubs and schools have an up to date first aid certificate, this should be renewed every 3 years.

There should a qualified first aider at all club sessions that involve juniors. This can be a coach or a specialist first aider. The first aid course does not have to be cricket specific, but should be 3 hours minimum. First aid at work (3 days long) also qualifies along with many others.

 

FIRST AID KITS

First aid kits contents are not defined, below are some examples of first-aid kit providers kit for cricket. Ice packs are essential and a good supply of them!

Each age group should have a first aid kit that goes with them on away games as well.

Each club should also have a first aid kit for open-age cricket (matching number of teams).
