At Bucks Cricket we value the importance of Mental Health and Wellbeing. It is important to understand emotional wellbeing and what it includes. Good emotional wellbeing does not necessarily mean you are never upset or unaffected by your experiences. Poor emotional wellbeing can make it incredibly difficult to cope with daily life. It is known that one in four employees within the United Kingdom are likely to be affected by a mental health condition. Within any given year, around three million people in the United Kingdom experience some form of anxiety or depression.

Ways to look after your Mental Health:

  • Exercise regularly
  • Take time to relax
  • Take part in outdoor activities, even as simple as a walk
  • Maintain a good diet
  • Ensure you are getting enough sleep
  • Try and create a routine and stick to it
  • Attempt to attend social events and regularly meet up with friends and family
  • Get support if you feel like you are struggling to support yourself
  • Try journaling, this encourages gratitude.
  • Take regular breaks in what you are doing, especially if you are working from home
