Congratulations to Amelie Bishop, who has been selected for England Women's U19 World Cup squad and India series.

Bishop featured six times for Bucks Women during the 2026 season on loan from Essex, scoring 250 runs at an average of 41.67.

A 15-player squad has been named by England Women U19s for their biggest ever winter programme of cricket culminating in an ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Nepal and Bangladesh.

Following a series of training camps in the UK, the squad will travel to take part in a five-match T20 series against India in November/December 2026, and at its completion they will remain in India for a further week to continue their outdoor preparations for the ICC tournament in January/February 2027.

Women's Head Coach Ben Ungaretti said: “Amelie made a huge impact when she joined us on loan at the start of the season. Her attacking flair with the bat and genuine pace with the ball impressed from day one and played a significant role in our strong campaign. She settled into the group brilliantly, raised the standards around her, and was a fantastic teammate throughout.

"I always felt it was a case of when, not if, she would earn opportunities at a higher level. This selection is thoroughly deserved and a reward for all the hard work she has put in. Everyone at Bucks Cricket is delighted for her and wishes her every success with England U19s."
