Following the end of the season and a review of its strategic priorities, Bucks Cricket has updated two senior roles. Emma Boswell-Harris becomes Deputy CEO & Head of Participation, and Jason Harrison becomes Performance Director. Emma’s new title reflects her responsibility for ensuring Bucks Cricket meets its commitments under the ECB County Partnership Agreement. Jason will continue to oversee the Men’s and Women’s county teams and will also take direct oversight of the Talent Pathway, whose staff and coaches are led by James Savory.
Rich Hudson, CEO of Bucks Cricket CIO, said: “Bucks Cricket has changed beyond recognition in the past few years, and that’s down to our people. We’re reaching more children through our expanded schools programme, using cricket to bring communities together, supporting clubs to grow the game and creating more opportunities for talented players to develop.
“We’ve begun delivering the new Game Changer project in Milton Keynes and Aylesbury, alongside the Milton Keynes Cricket Cities programme. We have 314 participants accessing free, weekly community and disability programmes and are progressing plans for new facilities. Alongside that, our expanded pathway programmes now support 213 regional players, 164 county age-group players and 110 state-school players through the MCC Foundation. These changes give Emma and Jason clear responsibilities as we take that work forward and create more opportunities for people to play and progress in Buckinghamshire.”
Bucks Cricket Staff:
Bucks Cricket CIO also has 46 casual coaches working across its community, schools and county programmes.
Harry Gadsby will be leaving Bucks Cricket at the end of the year, although he will remain in a one-day-a-week capacity until April to support the setting up of junior competitions.
Bucks Cricket CIO is currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager and a County Safeguarding Officer.
