Bucks completed the warm-ups for their white-ball season by securing two wins over Herefordshire in their friendly T20 double-header at Tring Park on Sunday.
In their first match they romped to a comprehensive nine-wicket success after restricting the visitors to 117-8 from their 20 overs, Bucks captain Tom Hampton taking 3-21 in his four overs.
On a ground with a very short boundary on one side, Bucks openers AJ Woodland and debutant Cameron Hemp blasted 73 off just 5.5 overs in their reply.
Hemp, son of former Glamorgan player David Hemp, who has joined High Wycombe this season, hammered 33 off just 13 balls, while Woodland, with 47 not out from 37 balls, and Billy Mead (28 not out off 18 balls) helped Bucks reach 118-1 in just 11.1 overs.
Woodland carried on his good form into the second game, making 82 not out from 56 balls with four sixes and six fours as Bucks made 168-9 from their 20 overs.
Herefordshire batted better second time around thanks to Ollie Walker's 58 and reached 158-7 to lose by 10 runs. Spinner Michael Payne took 3-28 for the hosts.
Bucks open their National Counties T20 campaign with a double-header against Bedfordshire at High Wycombe this Sunday, the first game starting at 11am.
