Josh Lincoln signs for Bucks
1 Apr 2026

Welcome to Buckinghamshire, Josh Lincoln!

The former Berkshire all-rounder will join up with Bucks Men for the upcoming 2026 season.

Josh joins Bucks Cricket with five years of National Counties experience at Berkshire, including a match-defining 124 (98) in the NCCA Championship Final 2024, as well as a five-wicket-haul (5-52) against Devon last season.

We spoke with our latest signing ahead of his move across the border and asked him what he's aiming to achieve in 2026.

Here’s what he had to say:

Q1. Having faced Bucks in the past, how excited are you to now be part of the squad?

Answer: Yes, I’m very much looking forward to meeting up with the squad. There are a lot of familiar faces around, whilst also a few new guys who I’m looking forward to sharing a dressing room with.

Q2. So, who is Josh Lincoln? What can we expect from you and your role within the squad?

Answer: I’m a middle-order batsman and seaming all-rounder coming into my fifth year of NCCA cricket, having played the past four with my childhood county, Berkshire.

Q3. With the season fast approaching, have you got any targets in mind for 2026?

Answer: Over recent years, Bucks have had great success in the red ball, winning two out of the past three Championship Finals. However, the white ball hasn’t quite matched the feats of the red-ball campaigns, and that’s where I’m hoping I can make a difference to bring the formats to a level par.

First and foremost, the goal is to win silverware. The T20 Trophy is the last one that I personally need to tick off, so that would be a dream start to my Bucks career. That being said, I’d be very happy if I can contribute to a successful season for the county, however that may look. There is a lot of quality within the squad currently, and the additions of both Pards (Matt Pardoe) and Bertie (Foreman) also add a lot of experience from the professional game that is invaluable to NCCA cricket

Men's Captain Conner Haddow is delighted with the arrival: "I’m buzzing, to be honest. It’s always exciting bringing in someone you know well, and I’ve known Josh through club cricket for some time, so I’ve had a proper look at his game.

"He’s one of those players who contributes in all departments and raises the standard around him.

"With the ball, he has great skills at the death, which is massive in tight games. With the bat, he’s a powerful striker who can shift momentum quickly. In the field, he’s athletic and sharp, and on top of that, he’s got a really good cricket brain.

"Overall, he’s the kind of player who can impact games in multiple ways, and I’m certain he’ll contribute in a lot of games for us this season."
