It is with great regret that Bucks Cricket announces the sad sudden death of Kevin Beaumont, secretary of Bucks County Cricket Club for the past 27 years.

Kevin passed away in Wycombe General Hospital after a short illness. He was 78.

Kevin became one of the youngest Minor Counties umpires in his twenties and was still officiating at the highest club level at the time of his death.

Retiring early from his job at the Bank of England, Kevin became Bucks CCC secretary in 1998. In 2019, he was awarded a British Empire Medal for his services to Minor Counties Cricket.

Kevin, who lived at Little Chalfont, was a member of Amersham Hill before joining Chesham CC, with whom he was closely attached. He was a past President of the Bucks Association of Cricket Officials.

Bucks Cricket sends deep condolences to his devoted wife Helen and the rest of his family.
