Josh Lincoln on last week's victory: The Oxfordshire seamers had bowled really well up top on what was a testing wicket to bat on. I actually thought that we’d navigated the power play pretty well under the circumstances.
It’s never ideal going in at number 7 with less than 100 on the board, but for me the process doesn’t change. We’d had a chat at drinks about how we were going to try get to a total that we felt was competitive and we could defend.
It was key to assess the conditions as quickly as possible when I got to the crease, but I’d decided that a counter punch was probably the best way to swing momentum back in our favour and fortunately it went my way on the day.
Lincoln is excited to go again on Sunday: There’s a real air of excitement around the squad. We’ve beaten two good sides, both in very different manors to start the campaign, which obviously increases the confidence levels within the dressing room. We’re really looking forward to getting back out there on Sunday for our first home game of the season against Dorset.
They’re a great outfit and I can see the game on the weekend being extremely competitive, with a lot of quality on show from both sides.
We’re obviously hoping that we can go 3 from 3 and continue to build upon the great start that we’ve made.
