Ben Ungaretti also spoke ahead of the Women's 1st XI season opener:

Season Expectations - I think after a long winter of training hard our team is ready to go. This being our first season in a new league, the main focus is on building a strong foundation. We want to be competitive, adapt to the pace and style of play, and continue developing team chemistry.

The expectations going forward are to grow each game, learn from every challenge, and ultimately establish ourselves as a team that can contend at the top level. Long term, it’s about consistency and pushing for success year after year.

We have also added two new players from out of the county this year (Beth Talbot & Lucinda Hunter), both who will strengthen the side not only with the bat but ball as well. I am very exited to see how they can contribute to the team this year.

Playing at Wormsley Cricket Ground - It’s one of the most picturesque and historic grounds in the country. To step out onto that field is a real privilege, and it adds an extra layer of excitement and motivation for the team. We’re all buzzing for the opportunity.

Cara Duggan as CaptainCara stands out as a brilliant captain due to her extensive experience, constant performances, and leadership qualities. She really helps drive the standards of the team with her performances with both bat and ball.

She has help create a competitive and cohesive environment for the team to thrive in. I hope she can inspire the team to some big wins this season and continue to push the level of performance for the whole team on and off the field.

This match offers both FREE ENTRY and FREE PARKING, so please feel free to come down to Wormsley to support Bucks in their Metro Bank One Day Cup - League Three match.
