Schoolboy Aadi Sharma made a spectacular National Championship debut for Bucks in their ten-wicket victory over Hertfordshire at Bishops Stortford this week.
The 16-year-old, who attends Stowe School, hammered 96 from 113 balls, and with Alexei Kervezee (left) and Ross Richardson scoring maiden Championship centuries, Bucks amassed an amazing 446-8 in their first innings after being put in to bat by their hosts.
They then dismissed Herts for 236, made them follow on  and then dismissed them against for 235 to set up their second successive ten-wicket win over their opponents.
Bucks were 92-3 when Sharma, who plays his club cricket at Great Brickhill, joined Kervezee at the crease.
They added 145 for the fourth-wicket. Sharma struck 11 fours and four sixes before he was out for 96, while former Worcestershire player Kervezee made 107 from 123 balls with 13 fours. Herts bowlers' suffering did not end there with Richardson thrashing three sixes and eight fours, reaching 105 not out from 119 balls just before the innings closure. Cameron Parsons (50 from 57 balls) supported him in a seventh-wicket stand of 123.
Faced with such a big total, Herts slipped to 92-6 in reply, before a determined 91 from Charlie Scott enabled them to reach 236 all out, both AJ Woodland and Conner Haddow taking three wickets.
Following on 210 behind, Herts batted doggedly a second time around  and made Bucks bowlers toil in the heat for 103.4 overs before falling for 235, Ed Bragg taking 3-35. Bucks soon made 26-0 to wrap up victory before tea on the third day. Tring Park seamer Tom Weymes also made his Championship debut.
This was a great start to Bucks's Eastern Division 2 promotion campaign. They will be hoping to maintain this good form when they entertain Cumbria at Chesham from July 24-26.
