Vitality Blast Final for Bucks Women
14 Jul 2025

After two emphatic victories over Staffordshire at Milford Hall CC on Sunday, Bucks Women have qualified for the Vitality Blast Women's League 3 - Division 1 Final.

The Final will be played at Wormsley Cricket Ground on Sunday 27th July, with the opposition and start time yet to be confirmed.

Bucks earned both 54-run and 8-wicket victories over Staffordshire Women on a day which needed two strong performances to qualify for the Final.

In Game One, a vital 61 not out from Chloe Hill, partnered with 35 runs from Captain Cara Duggan steered their side to 146 from 20 over, and an impressive display in the field saw Natasha MacBean take 3-17 to bowl Staffordshire out for 92.

In Game Two, a fast start from the hosts will quickly halted by yet another brilliant bowling display, with all six bowlers taking wickets between them, and restricting Staffordshire to 121 all out. In reply, a 79-run opening stand from Annie Townsend (34) and another top score from Hill (51*) took Bucks to within 50 runs, and Tilly Fellows (12*) finished the game with Hill to seal a fantastic day.

Women's Lead Coach Ben Ungaretti shared his pride: Absolutely proud of the girls — they were outstanding yesterday. To come through two tough games and qualify for the final is a huge achievement. The way the team performed, especially under pressure, shows the hard work and determination that’s gone in all season.

Chloe Hill was exceptional, scoring a half-century in both matches. Her consistency and composure at the crease gave us the platform we needed in each game. Performances like that inspire the whole team and really set the tone.

To reach the final means a lot — it’s a testament to the team’s commitment, talent, and belief. We’re going into the final with momentum, confidence, and immense pride in what we’ve accomplished so far.
